Meet Sheriff Cole
Kim Cole has spent his entire career serving Mason County. Starting as a reserve deputy in 1985, he worked his way through the ranks to become Sheriff. For more than four decades, he has been there for his community, protecting families, leading teams, and setting high standards.
Sheriff Cole isn’t running for office to play politics – he’s running to take our common sense West Michigan values to Lansing.
Kim is a fifth-generation resident of Mason County. He graduated from Ludington High School and West Shore Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He and his wife, Gina, have been married for 38 years and are proud parents and grandparents.
West Michigan Values
Safe Communities
Sheriff Cole has dedicated his life to keeping West Michigan families safe. In the State Senate, he’ll fight for strong public safety policies so every community can thrive without fear.
Lowering the tax burden on families
Families are working hard to make ends meet, and Lansing shouldn’t make it harder. Sheriff Cole will fight to cut the tax burden so more of your paycheck stays in your pocket.
A State budget that helps out the family budget
State government should live within its means—just like every Michigan family does. Sheriff Cole will work for a responsible budget that prioritizes essential services while respecting taxpayers.
Protecting our natural resources
Michigan’s lakes, forests, and farmland are treasures we must safeguard. Sheriff Cole will champion policies that protect our natural resources for the next generation and stand up for sportsmen.
